Last week Kavika started taking Online Public school through k12.com. So far we have been really impressed with the online school format and how things are going. I really think that as parents we can provide a far superior education for our kids through this type of eduction and other home schooling. The challenge I can already see for a parent is that it is extremely time consuming. This will be an interesting year to see how far Kavika comes compared to where he is now and also against other 5th graders in traditional public school. When we signed up for K12 Kavika tested in 5th grade for math but 3rd grade for English & Reading. So he is currently a little behind, which we were aware of. Our goal is to get him caught up this year and hopefully even further ahead.
